Your first meeting is now FREE. So come and see what we are like.
Full membership offers the chance to get together at club meetings, which are held on the Third Friday of each month in the Club Room at the St Marys Church Hall, Decoy Drive, Hampton Park, Eastbourne, BN22 9PP.
Doors open at 7.20pm. Meetings usually finish about 10pm and include a 30 minute break.
Meetings are normally split into three sections:
1st part - main subject 7.30 to 9pm,
2nd part –social break, tea & coffee is served with cakes, raffles, club sales of fish products, a club library and social events are all available 9 to 9.30,
3rd part – short section about tips etc 9.30 to 10pm.
If you would like to come along to one of our meetings before deciding on whether or not to join Eastbourne Pond Club, you are most welcome.We often bring in speakers to talk about something local and previous talks have covered caring for pond plants, running a tropical fish shop, maintaining public ponds, forestry, wildlife rescue, bee keeping, flower arranging, planting tubs & baskets and much more. Regular talks and demonstrations include pond construction, problems and dealing with them, suitable pond fish, looking after fish, filtration and fish health, often with video or slide shows of ponds etc.
Club meetings are an excellent place to catch up with other members.
